Make Content that Stops the Scroll and Grows Your Online Presence
Imagine scrolling through 300 feet of content every day — 🥵 that’s almost the length of a football field! Whoa.
According to CBS News, the average person scrolls through 300 feet of mobile content a day. This staggering statistic comes from a seasoned advertising executive, Andrew Keller. (2018, CBS News)
But how much of this content do you care about?
How much of it makes you stop and say ‘wow’ or feel anything?
Not much, right?
And that’s what ANNOYS ME: most people ignore the content they scroll past.
It’s like they don’t even see it. It’s like it doesn’t matter.
But you know what? It does matter.
Especially if you’re someone who wants to create content that people notice and love.
Someone who wants to share a message or sell something that can make a difference in the world.
That’s why I’m here to help.
3 Proven Strategies to Achieve Your Social Media Goals
I’m here to show you how to create scroll-stopping content. Content that makes people stop and look. Content that makes people feel something. Content that makes people do something. Content that grows your online presence and achieves your social media goals.
Who is this for? Anyone who wants to use social media to make an impact.
Whether you’re a digital creator, content manager, entrepreneur, small business owner, or a social media newbie — this is for you.
Now, let’s dive into the first proven strategy to make eye-catching content: deliver undeniable value.
Strategy #1: Deliver Undeniable Value
Why Value Matters
Have you ever wondered why some social media posts get thousands of likes, comments, and shares——while others barely get any?
The secret is delivering undeniable value.
Delivering undeniable value means your content does one or more of these three things:
✨ Entertains people
✨ Helps them solve problems
✨ Teaches them something new
When you deliver undeniable value, you make your audience happy.
You make them want to engage with your content.
You make them want to follow you and share your content with others.
How to Deliver Undeniable Value
A key to delivering undeniable value is to know your community and make content specifically for them.
First, ask yourself:
😥 What stresses your community??
😍 What are their deepest desires?
🎯 What are their goals?
Then ask yourself:
How can your content help them tap into what they want?
Once you identify your community and what they want (their goals), you can create content that delivers undeniable value.
Your Turn to Try
Now it’s your turn to put this strategy into practice. Think about how you can deliver undeniable value to your community with your content.
① What are some ways you can entertain, help, or teach them?
② What are some of the topics that they enjoy or need?
③ How can you use what you learn about your community to make your content unique and valuable?

Strategy #2: Amp Up Your Presentation
Why Presentation Matters
Imagine spending hours planning, making, and scheduling your social posts only to get 11 likes — for the entire week.
😰Frustrating right?
But you can avoid the frustration by using these tips to AMP Up Your Presentation. ⏬
Presentation is as important as content.
That’s why you need to think like a marketing genius———and consider how people will consume your content.
Because no matter how valuable it is, if your content is a pain to SEE or READ, people won’t engage.
And if people don’t engage, there’s ZERO incentive for the social media algorithms to promote or prioritize your content on their platforms!
How to Amp Up Your Presentation
So how can you amp up your presentation?
Personalize your posts for different platforms and devices.
- Don’t just copy and paste the same content everywhere.
- Adapt and resize it to fit each platform’s format, style, and audience.
Proofread before you post and read your work aloud to catch mistakes.
- Mistakes are natural, but consistent ones ruin credibility and make you look untrustworthy.
- Reading aloud can catch mistakes (spelling, grammar, or punctuation). And improve the flow, tone, rhythm, and readability.
Use tools and templates to create high-quality scroll-stopping content.
- Use Splice or CapCut to edit jaw-dropping videos on your phone.
- Use Canva or AdobeSpark to make eye-catching videos and graphics.
- Use Grammarly or Hemmingway App to check your grammar and readability.
Your Turn to Try
Now it’s your turn to put this strategy into practice. How you can improve your presentation and make your content more attractive and accessible?
① What are some of the tools or templates that you use or want to try?
② What are some of the best practices or tips that you follow or want to learn?

Strategy #3: Lead With Your Unique Personality
Why Personality Matters
Have you ever followed someone online who seemed so accepting and authentic?
Someone who inspired you and made you feel connected?
And then something happened. Something big.
Something that affected everyone. And they were silent.
Or worse, they acted like nothing was wrong.
They kept posting their usual stuff.
This made them seem so out of touch. So fake. So disappointing.
You don’t want to be like that. You want to be real.
You want to be honest. You want to be yourself.
You want to maintain your community’s trust and respect.
That’s why strategy #3 is about leading with your unique personality.
People crave connection with what’s behind your screen.
They want to know who you are, what you stand for, and what makes you different from others.
So give the people what they want. And avoid sharing basic content that lacks personality or authenticity.
How to Show Your Personality
Here’s what you need to take your content from basic—to—authentic:
✨ Share your opinions with care, and end everything on a positive note.
✨ Share your emotions with emotive language, emojis, and exclamation points.
✨ Tell experiences and stories that relate to your niche.
✨ Don’t lie or contradict your content—there is a difference between lying for likes versus changing your mind (growing and evolving).
Your Turn to Try
Now it’s your turn to put this strategy into practice. Think about how you can inject more of your personality into your social media posts, blog posts, emails, videos, podcasts, or any other content you create to share publicly.
① What are some of the things that make you unique?
② What are some of the values that guide you?
③ What are some of the stories that shaped you?
Share them with your audience and watch how they respond. You might be surprised by how much they appreciate your honesty, vulnerability, and authenticity.
And don’t forget to have fun with it!
Your personality is what makes you special, so don’t be afraid to show it off.

How to Get More Engagement When Your Posts Are Falling Flat
Why Engagement Matters
Engagement shows that your content is valuable and relevant to your audience.
And it helps you build trust, loyalty, and authority on social media.
So far, I’ve shared three proven strategies for creating and sharing content that stops the scroll and gets engagement. But maybe you’re doing that, and things still aren’t working.
The truth is, sometimes you can follow those proven strategies and still not get the engagement results you want.
If this happens, below are some reasons why people might ignore your posts and how to fix them.
Why Your Posts Are Getting Ignored
🚫 Your content doesn’t speak to people.
✅ Make it more conversational or emotional.
🚫 Your content is sensitive or controversial.
✅ Be respectful and avoid online drama.
🚫 Someone else already commented with what they wanted to say.
✅ Encourage people to react to comments they agree with.
🚫 They’re lurking or scrolling mindlessly.
✅ Grab their attention with visuals or questions (people love sharing their opinions).
🚫 Your content is too long.
✅ Keep it short and sweet.
🚫 Your content is about you, not them.
✅ Make it more people-centric and less me-centric.
🚫 You’re posting too often about nothing.
✅ Post less but better.
🚫 You’re asking too much.
✅ Simplify your call-to-action and don’t be pushy.
🚫 Your content is too trendy or overused.
✅ Stand out by trying trends, viral sounds, and filters early.
🚫 You don’t engage back when people comment.
✅ Show appreciation by reacting to comments and talking back.
🚫 You don’t use the latest features of the platform.
✅ Try new things and get noticed.
Your Turn to Try
Now it’s your turn to put this strategy into practice. Think about how you can fix your posts and get more engagement from your audience.
① What are some reasons (from this list) why your posts are getting ignored?
② What are some of the solutions that you can try?
③ How do you measure your engagement and track your progress?

Content Engagement
The Key to Spreading Your Message and Selling Your Offers
You did it! You’ve learned how to create and share content that:
✨ Grabs attention
✨ Stops the scroll
✨ Gets engagement.
But that’s not the end. You also need to measure your engagement and track your progress.
One thing to remember is engagement is more than just likes, comments, or shares.
Some people might scroll past your content fast but still engage with it in other ways.
They might tap on your link, save your post for later, visit your profile, follow you from that post or video, or watch for over 3 seconds.
These forms of engagement are important because they show that your content sparks interest and curiosity. It also helps you reach more people who might be interested in what you have to offer.
To track these other types of engagement, you can:
- Check your IMPRESSIONS. Impressions show how many times users saw your content.
- Check your REACH. Reach shows how many unique users saw your content.
- Check the SAVES on a post. Saves show how many users saved your content to their collections.
You can find these metrics in your social page’s analytics or insights area.
Use them to see how your content is doing and how you can make it better.
Content engagement takes some effort, but it pays off big time.
You can build a relationship with your community through your content and have a greater impact.
Just follow these proven strategies: deliver undeniable value, amp up your presentation, and lead with your unique personality.
This will help you create content that gets attention and grows an engaged social page, which can help:
✨ Spread your message
✨ Sell your offers
✨ Get brand deals

Hey Lola👋
Thank you for your amazing blog!
This encourages me to create content again. I use to create all the time on my ministry page Chanell’s Inspiration and Author page Author Shinika C McQuarter both IG and Instagram.
I also use to send out daily Inspirations via phone for over 10yrs. In the past I faithfully used Canva for my videos and graphics. As well as Bandlab to record my prayers and songs to add to my content. I’ve never used Splice or CapCut for editing but looking forward to in near future.
I also have an Grammarly account but unfortunately never put to use.
I actually miss creating content. Creating is my happy place. Some behind the scenes things I create often is my versatile way of cooking, formulating skin care products and medicine from my apothecary.
Would love one day to have a YouTube channel to teach others. Don’t want to ramble on, but again THANK YOU for all you do!
Keep up the AMAZING work! You inspire more people than you know Lola.
Grace, Peace, Happiness & Love✌ 💛
