No Time for Weirdo Energy
So picture this.
You’re scrolling your social feed.
Next thing you know, you stumble on a clip of YOURS TRULY boldly declaring:
THIS YEAR — We’re NOT wasting our ➡️ EFFORTS ➡️ ENERGY ➡️ or TIME on people giving WEIRDO energy.
Cue the intrigue, questions, and comments.
✅ Now, you may agree.
❌ Disagree.
🤔 Or think, what is weirdo energy?
And you’re NOT the only one…
Someone left a comment on my video, asking:
‘What is the definition of weirdo energy in this case?’
Defining Weirdo Energy
I’m a self-professed weirdo.
So, I wanna define weirdo energy and break down its meaning.
But first, a confession . . . Again, I’m a self-professed weirdo.
That means I have quirks that I celebrate.
And I embrace the beautiful messiness of me.
Because my difference is magical and helps me stand out in a positive way.
That’s why (for me) weirdo energy is less about quirkiness.
As I see it — Weirdo energy is about something entirely different.
⚠️ Weirdo energy is about toxic stuff that drags you down or holds you back.
Now that we’ve defined weirdo energy . . .
🚩 Up next are signs weirdo energy is lurking and real-life scenarios.
🎯 The purpose is to help you RECOGNIZE weirdo energy ASAP.
Signs, Scenarios, AND Solutions
Time to dive into the nitty-gritty of weirdo energy.
We’re talking signs, scenarios, and MOST IMPORTANTLY — solutions.
So, KEEP READING if you wanna spot when weirdo energy is lurking around in relationships, friendships, on social media, and at Christian churches. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
➊ WEIRDO ENERGY IN RELATIONSHIPS
Weirdo energy is excluding people until you need them.
➡️ Someone keeping you at arm’s length until they need something from you.
Weirdo energy is when people demand your support but don’t support you.
➡️ Think about people who NEVER ask about your life or how to support you.
Weirdo energy is getting nasty looks, side-eyes, and judged by people who have done the EXACT same thing as you. Sooooo frustrating, right? 🙄
➡️ Someone who constantly reminds you of your past mistakes — while conveniently forgetting their own.
Crystal clear advice:
Sit with people who see your past as a proof of HOW far you’ve come!
RECAP
To wrap this up, weirdo energy in relationships looks like this:
👉 Excluding people until you need them
👉 Demanding support without giving any
👉 Harshly judging others for their mistakes

➋ WEIRDO ENERGY IN FRIENDSHIPS
Weirdo energy is when friends don’t want you to flourish without them.
➡️ Pay attention when friends dismiss or resent your good news. #FakeFriends
Weirdo energy is a friend ignoring your wins because they can’t take ANY credit.
➡️ This friend repeatedly ignores or downplays your wins when they’re NOT part of the journey.
Weirdo energy is excusing bad behavior from people because you ‘like them’ — or they have access to something you want.
➡️ Think about when people overlook bad behavior from others simply because they like them or benefit from the friendship.
Crystal clear advice:
Notice a friend giving you weirdo energy or one-sided support? When that happens to me…I don’t go out of my way to avoid them! But I don’t go out of my way to show up for them either.
RECAP
To wrap this up, weirdo energy in friendships looks like this:
👉 Friends NOT wanting you to succeed without them
👉 Friends ignoring your wins when they’re NOT involved
👉 Excusing bad behavior for personal gain
@lolacabaya a reminder that every person, place, and position is NOT deserving of your energy. 🫶🏽 #thesmokingprophet #nedranuggets #aliensuperstar #listenable #affirmationquote @Nedra Glover Tawwab, LCSW

➌ WEIRDO ENERGY ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Weirdo energy is when people follow you online to troll you.
➡️ Someone who follows others on social media to disagree and argue. The proof is in the comments.
Weirdo energy is obsessing over someone to expose them.
➡️ This shows up as someone who obsessively searches social media for reasons to disagree, argue, fight, complain, or expose people online.
Weirdo energy is obsessing over someone else’s failure or misfortune.
➡️ Give a second look to anyone who takes pleasure in someone else’s failure instead of offering compassion, prayers, or support.
Crystal clear advice:
Lean into your real-life relationships.
RECAP
To wrap this up, weirdo energy on social media looks like this:
👉 Trolling people on purpose
👉 Obsessively scrolling online to find fault
👉 Celebrating the failures of others
@lolacabaya watch out for these types of followers 👀 they show up to argue! you’ll know them by their comments 🧾🫣😆 #thesmokingprophet #socialmediapredictions #listenableaffirmations #thingsiwishiknewyesterday #listenable #intuitivecreator

➍ WEIRDO ENERGY IN CHRISTIAN CHURCHES
Weirdo energy is when people accept God’s New Testament grace but hold Old Testament grudges.
➡️ This shows up as people who preach grace but practice grudges. They move between forgiving and fighting based on convenience. Let me explain.
➡️ On the one hand, they believe you’re saved by God’s grace alone, not your behavior, so you can’t brag (Ephesians 2:8-9).
➡️ But on the other hand, if you hurt them, they want their lick back — aka an eye for an eye (Leviticus 24:17-22).
Crystal clear advice:
Read the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant (Matthew 18:21-35).
That parable is a mini-masterclass on:
🥰 God’s grace
🤝 Forgiveness
😨 And how holding grudges pushes you to crash out

Drop a comment and let me know! (Seriously, LMK)
@lolacabaya Imagine someone trying to SET YOU UP to fail, then they crash out. 🙄🙄🙄 Welp—that’s what the Bible is talking about in Proverbs 26:27. #thesmokingprophet #thingsiwishiknewyesterday #skillstoTHRIVE #listenableaffirmations #upliftingthoughts #bibleverseaffirmations #propheticaffirmation #propheticpodcast #intuitivecreator #listenable

The Solution?
Fall back.
Here’s my take on handling weirdo energy.
The cool thing about being grown-up is you make your own choices.
That means you decide who gets to be close to you and how close they can get.
So what do you do when someone starts acting weird?
💡 You take a step back.
💡 That’s the solution. That’s the fix.
Taking a step back is NOT giving up either…
Taking a step back means falling back to give yourself room to think.
It’s like pressing the pause button to think things through.
This SMART MOVE can help you . . .
✅ Protect your feelings and your reputation (Don’t crash out)
✅ Create space to plan a response (Choose what happens next)
✅ Avoid wasting energy on drama or people who constantly take without giving anything back
What To Do Next
So here’s the takeaway:
Weirdo energy is about toxic behavior that drags you down or holds you back.
BUT (the good news is) you have the POWER to choose how to deal with it.
If ever weirdo energy shows up around you…
Remember these two words — FALL BACK.
That means take a step back and figure out what to do next.
Ask yourself what happens after your decision.
I recommend doing this because it lets you identify what comes with your choice — a reward or consequence!
The bottom line is . . .
Taking a step back to think can help you make better decisions.
Decisions that will serve you in the future and NOT hold you back.
Well, that’s all for now.
Thanks for trusting me to talk with you today!
Until next time, remember you choose what energy you want around you.
So choose wisely.
