Oh JOY! You Are Going to Reap Where You Have NOT Sown

Last week, these words dropped into my heart, ‘You are about to reap where you haven’t sown.’ 😭😭😭

WAIT! IS IT POSSIBLE TO REAP WHERE YOU HAVE NOT SOWN? 👇🏽

The scripture says that you reap what you sow — but it does NOT say you have to receive in the place that you sow! (Galatians 6:7-10) 

In other words, you for sure reap what you sow, but you don’t always reap where you sow!

SO (NO PUN INTENDED) — it is completely possible to receive a harvest from a place you haven’t planted! 

And it is totally realistic that you can benefit from someone else’s work! 

God rewards your faithfulness and your kindness.

Here is how Jesus introduced this principle to his followers. He taught them to do their alms (good deeds) in secret — and in doing so, God would repay them! (Matthew 6:1-4)

What does that mean?! It means God himself rewards your kindness and your faithfulness! 

And God can do that through the people you’ve helped or not! God can do that in the places you’ve sown or not! 

God chooses.
God decides.
How? I don’t know — But I do know you will reap the benefits!

HOW TO REAP WHERE YOU HAVEN’T SOWN 👇🏽

Now, you may be thinking — What did I do to make this happen? Or how can I kick-start this type of blessing in my life?! 

And here’s what you need to know.

Be kind.
Be forgiving.
Use wisdom.
Release mercy.
Be responsible.
Spend your money wisely.
Take care of your family.
Keep your word.

Always do what is right (especially when there’s no audience).

In other words, do what God wants you to do. Because doing what God wants you to do helps you secure this blessing!

And if you don’t know what God wants you to do, read the Bible — you’ll learn. 

Psalm 15 is a great place to start because it teaches us the character of the people that dwell in God’s presence. 👇🏽

They are trustworthy.
They tell the truth.
They DO NOT look for things to hold against people.
They refuse to insult others.
They use their words for good, not harm.
They speak out against evil.
They are generous.
They keep their commitments.

Now, will you believe it?! Will you believe that you can reap where you have not sown?

Because I went through all of that to amp up your faith AND to show you just how simple it is to reap a harvest that you haven’t sown! 😬
