On Friday, September 9th, 2016, during the 25th Annual Prophets and Apostles Conference at Life Center Church in Dunwoody, GA, Dr. Matthew Stevenson III gave yet another timely prophetic message. In this video, he specifically brings attention to the authority level of the church and the authority level of America’s government.
The Church
He opened this teaching with a short lesson on rank and force as it relates to the biblical definitions of power – dunamis and exousia – before boldly declaring that the entire church is on the verge of witnessing these two positions merge. “Exousia is to dunamis what logos is to rhema,” meaning it provides the parameters of its operation or the rank to support the force.
God wants the body of Christ to move into a place of “mastery with more profound weaponry.“ One reason being is because satan is able to mimic power through “lying wonders,” however he is not able to mimic the authority of God (2 Thessalonians 2:9, Acts 19:11-20).
The Prophets
Dr. Stevenson acknowledges the great strides Bill Hamon and John Eckhardt have made in getting America to accept prophecy, yet there is still more. He uses 1 Samuel 10 and 1 Samuel 19, from the Amplified Bible to outline some more subtle functions of a prophet, as God really wants to showcase the full role and responsibility of this calling! Prophets Prepare, “there is a very aggressive arrest on the prophets ministry in this season” and you are about to be gripped by God in an unimaginable way because there are things that can only be accomplished through this function.
The Oval Office
Right now you may be questioning how this relates to American government and that’s a great question to have. As Dr. Stevenson outlines the role of a prophet he highlights that the prophet’s superiority is greater than that of a king or for Americans, it’s greater than that of a president…
