I love the prophetic! I adore prophetic people! I believe it’s my mission in life to help raise up a prophetic generation and to train other leaders. With that being said, I must admit that I am GREATLY disturbed by utterances said to be from the Lord and coming out of the mouths of well-known prophetic leaders.
What may have sparked this exchange you might ask? I just viewed a video by a famous prophet that was completely and utterly wrong in terms of the prophetic words spoken. This is a blemish, not only to the prophetic office but also to prophetic people everywhere! These so called prophets continue to “falsely see” mainly because we don’t hold them or their faulty prophecies accountable!
This brought me to question some things. Why do we continue to flock to their conferences, send them money, and allow them to speak into our lives? If they have given you a false word, why not let them know that?
Unfortunately, many people can’t tell the difference between prophecy and guessing! Here’s a clue, you’ll know the false ones because they’ll use the prophetic to steal money right up out of your pocket! I saw one prophetic charlatan tell people in the year 1999 to give $199.00 in exchange for a word, to give $100.00 and he might speak a word into your life. Then lastly to give $50.00 and he would “just” pray for you! This is absolutely demonic!
A more unbearable burden I have is that I rarely hear other leaders speak against their fraudulent actions because they’re afraid of offending the person and “taking heat” from those that love them!
What about offending God???
If you receive money for a prophetic word, you’re a PSYCHIC, not a PROPHET! As a psychic, you’ll get some things right and some things wrong. The devil always uses God’s truth to establish his lies! This explains why psychics are usually half right and half wrong. They tend to get “more accurate” when the level of money given rises!
The bottom line is this, if you prophesy for PROFIT, then you are not a PROPHET! Yes, prophetic ministries need money, but the prophetic words given should not be for sale! Let the true, authentic prophets emerge in this hour to replace the false. The Lord’s response was “It’s already begun!” Thank You, Lord!
