SUPERNATURAL VICTORY TO THRIVE

In times past, on Good Friday, Jesus spoke truth to darkness. And obtained the supernatural victory that believers can thrive in today!

If you’re wondering how then keep reading, I’ll tell you.

Good Friday commemorates the death of Jesus Christ.

You may be thinking, How does death turn into a good anything? Well, Jesus is a little different and a little sneaky (Ha! Sneaky in a good way), so he didn’t stay dead.

After dying, Jesus rose from the dead. Fulfilling prophecy and making his death in combo with his resurrection a symbol of triumph over the grave, sin, and hell.

That is for anyone that believes.

JESUS STOOD UP FOR ALL OF HUMANITY

I say Jesus spoke truth to darkness because each time he stood up for humanity directly or indirectly, it’s like he said not so devil. And on Good Friday, he took a massive risk on humanity and stood up for all.

The truth is, Jesus didn’t have to do anything for us. And he most certainly didn’t have to die for the world.

He chose death.

He chose to suffer.

He chose us.

Jesus could have said no, but he didn’t. And you can’t tell me that Jesus didn’t think about quitting. But he didn’t. When Jesus felt weak, he prayed instead of giving up. In the Garden of Gethsemane, he prayed so hard that blood pulsated through his pores like sweat (Luke 22:39-46).

That’s not all. Jesus could have eluded his betrayer Judas’ attempt to double-cross him (John 13:21-30). But Jesus didn’t do that either. Instead, he stepped up in another act that spoke truth to darkness, telling Judas to do the dirt he’d planned quickly.

Jesus could have called angels to rescue him from death, but he didn’t do that either (Matthew 26:52-54). Instead, Jesus didn’t put up a fight or struggle as he was beaten and bruised for the sins of the world (1 Peter 2:22-24).

JESUS SAID, NOT TODAY SATAN

So, to me, Jesus’s death was a priceless act that spoke truth to darkness. That told the devil, not so – not today, not tomorrow, and not ever.

So today, as I remember what Good Friday represents, I ask Jesus to do what He did before once again.

I ask Jesus, our Chief Intercessor, my Chief Intercessor, to speak truth to darkness once again by triumphing over everything that seeks to destroy us (Romans 8:34, John 10:10)!

If you believe, I ask you to do the same. Our world needs it.
