Around four weeks ago there was either ice or snow falling every week from the heavens above. Yet while sitting at a pharmacy waiting for an RX, I saw green life sprouting on the barren branches of a Bartlett pear tree. Instantly I thought of the prophet Jeremiah’s encounter with God and the almond tree branch God showed him in a vision. The significance of the almond tree stood out to me, it is the earliest of bloomers among the trees, bringing life in late winter. God used that to show Jeremiah that He would expedite His Word or “hasten His Word.” Jeremiah 1:11-12

Well this morning at the pharmacy again, I found the same tree full of white blossoms! Trees are blooming and blossoming because of the 70-80 degree weather we’ve had, THE TREES ARE RESPONDING TO WHAT THEY FEEL. Naturally, they begin to manifest the process required to bear fruit.

Yet at times an early bloom, due to the shifting elements of nature, will cause the trees to come forth or produce, out of season or its timing. Then when the weather shifts from hot to cold, returning from an unnatural state to the natural state of its season, the potential fruit is ruined. The fruit isn’t prepared to withstand the conditions it is presented with, so the tree neither bears fruit at its appointed time or the one it’s in.

THE MESSAGE

Don’t get caught up in what you feel, see, or how things appear to be – it is all fleeting – don’t allow yourself to be moved from God’s timing. God’s timing is always important, but more so now and ever increasing as The Day of His Return approaches.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18 King James Version (KJV)

Temporal means PROSKAIROS which is interpreted as “for a season,” according to Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Old Testament & New Testament Words authored by W.E.Vine. PROS means “for” and KAIROS means “a season.” What we see, what we face and what we feel is temporary, to get caught up in these things, like the trees, will cause us to move out of God’s timing, leaving our fruit ruined for God’s established time.

May God’s Spirit give you full understanding.

 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE

That is why we never give up. Our physical body is becoming older and weaker, but our spirit inside us is made new every day. We have small troubles for a while now, but these troubles are helping us gain an eternal glory. That eternal glory is much greater than our troubles. So we think about what we cannot see, not what we see. What we see lasts only a short time, and what we cannot see will last forever.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

PRAYER

Father, situations that we face are attempting to propel us forward prematurely, but we don’t want to move out of sync with You so I invite Your Spirit to rule over us. Let us always remember that what we are looking at is for a season and to move ahead of You produces spiritual death. We Forgive those who have hurt us, forgive us for hurting others and forgive us of our shortcomings, as we forgive others.  Don’t allow what we see in people and circumstances to push us out of Your will. Let the pressure produce purification of our hearts, sanctification of our souls and an overflow of Your Love in us.

In Jesus Name, Amen!
