FOUR THINGS You Can DO NOW to MAKE ROOM FOR GROWTH

Change is here. Yay! And growth is on the way! That’s exciting, right? It’s exciting for me too — BUT after all the dust settles from the CHANGE and EXCITEMENT, we will ALL need a few actionable tools to help us MAKE ROOM FOR THE GROWTH!

Use this blog to help you work YOUR DREAM and turn it into something that will GROW, GROW, GROW!!! And to help you do it in a way that doesn’t overwhelm you or take over your life.

One way to prepare for growth is to cut back.

It’s true. And maybe you don’t want to. Perhaps you feel like cutting back is a type of failure or that you’re accepting defeat. Or that it says you’re weak, or you can’t handle your daily responsibilities.

BUT it doesn’t. Cutting back prepares you for growth by creating new boundaries that allow you to be more present for things that matter.

Cutting back helps you be more present for your priorities. Cutting back helps you be more present in your plans. Cutting back helps you put your energy into things that are meaningful to your growth.

Sometimes we don’t want to do PAUSE AND CUTBACK.

But we aren’t superhuman’s — and we can’t keep ADDING more and more to our lives without pausing to adjust what we are carrying and how we are carrying it.

Another MUST-DO that will help you MAKE ROOM FOR GROWTH is unlearning.

Learning is essential to growth. But something else that we don’t always think about that is equally as important, if not more, is UNlearning.

Yes. Unlearning is crucial for your growth because it gives you permission to remove old ideas or even things that are new but not relevant. It says it’s okay to relearn and rethink what you may have thought yesterday. It says IT IS OKAY TO CHANGE YOUR MIND AND GROW.

Unlearning is a skill that you can use in every area of your life. At work. In your business. In parenting. In dating. In marriage. Know that it’s okay to unlearn to learn

NORMALIZE the mentality of DILIGENCE OVER DESPERATION

Sometimes when we don’t have a lot of flexibility in our time or work with limited resources, it puts a damper on our plans. We become more reactive in response to what we are facing — and less proactive in planning for growth.

It causes us to move quickly and do things out of desperation.

Doing things like this may work for a while, but not forever, so take baby steps to pace yourself and plan things out

This means you don’t need to execute every idea you have immediately. This means everything doesn’t have to be done today or tomorrow.

Again get to the place where you can pace yourself and plan things out. When you do this, you’ll discover you have more freedom and get more joy from your life!

So, go ahead. Relax and move from desperation to diligence. Let your plans be proactive and not reactive. Because when you do, you won’t just tune into what’s happening now — but you’ll become more INTUITIVE as you’re able to tune in to the future!

LAST but not least — LET YOUR COURAGE RISE to new levels.

Believe in yourself, and then be brave enough to be yourself.

You will be tempted to copy, to conform, and to compare yourself to others. Don’t. There is something so special about being you. The way you do things. Your little quirks. The things that you don’t even notice. It’s all special. But guess what else? That’s just a small part of who you are. There is still so much more of you waiting to be revealed – and those other parts will be seen as long as you courageously commit to being you – no matter what!

So do your different. Break the mold. Make the mold. And be okay with doing it your way. You are inspiring people every day. Some that may never acknowledge you and some that may never thank you – but that’s okay. You’re not doing it for them anyway – you’re doing it for you!

This post is very helpful; especially the tip about diligence over desperation. It is so easy for me to get overwhelmed after making a to-do list and thinking I have to get everything done by the end of the week. But learning to break goals into smaller pieces and showing myself some grace is something I am learning to do more often. Thx for sharing this!
