AN ARRIVAL OF PEACE
We’ve reached the final week of this devotional series.
And WHOA, what a ride it’s been—from hope to love to joy, and now to peace. I think peace is the perfect way to close this series out. Because peace is more than just feeling calm or avoiding conflict. Peace has a name—that’s Jesus.
Whether you’ve been following along since day one or just found this now…
I pray this week’s messages help you experience the kind of peace only Jesus gives.
12/22 PEACE WITH GOD
Bible Verse: Romans 5:1-2
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
Reflection: Imagine carrying the weight of something you’ve done wrong—a mistake or a moment you wish you could take back. Now imagine that weight being lifted, not because of anything you’ve done right, but because someone loves you that much. That’s what peace with God feels like. Peace with God means nothing stands between you and Him anymore. He forgives everything that could separate you—every mistake, every failure, every regret. It’s like making up after a fight with someone you care about and feeling that warmth and closeness again. And here’s the best part. God’s peace isn’t something you have to earn. It’s a gift that comes from faith in Jesus Christ. 😭🙌 And God’s peace is so special. Because it’s the kind of peace that frees you from guilt, shame, and fear. The kind of peace that gives you confidence to live freely and fully.
Prayer: God, thank you for making our relationship good through Jesus Christ. I may not feel like I deserve Your kindness (all the time), but I accept that You see me as worthy. Please help me live in Your peace daily and share it with others. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Take Action: Take a moment today to thank God for His love and forgiveness. If something is weighing on your heart, tell Him about it. Let Him lift that weight and fill you with His peace.
12/23 PEACE ON EARTH
Bible Verse: Luke 2:14
“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” NKJV
Reflection: When Jesus was born, Heaven couldn’t keep quiet. Angels lit up the space like fireflies in a summer sky and declared peace on earth (Read Luke 2:1-20). Peace on earth is a gift to humanity that starts inside your heart and flows into the world. And this peace is so powerful. It has the power to transform people, communities, systems, and nations—that means peace doesn’t always come easy or without conflict. That’s why being a peacemaker sometimes means stepping into messy situations. Peace can start small too: a kind word, a helping hand, or choosing to forgive. You don’t need a grand gesture to do this. It’s not about waiting for someone else to go first either—it’s about being the one who says, ‘Let peace begin with me.’
Prayer: God, thank you for peace on earth. Let peace begin with me. Fill my heart with Your Peace. Let it overflow into my words and actions. Work through me to bring peace wherever it’s needed—in my home, my community, and beyond. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Take Action: Pray for peace in a specific area—your family, neighborhood, country, or the world. Then take one small step to spread peace: a kind word, a helping hand, or a moment of reconciliation.
12/24 THE PRINCE OF PEACE
Bible Verse: Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (NKJV)
Reflection: Jesus isn’t just someone who brings peace—He is peace. His name, the Prince of Peace, tells us that His peace isn’t temporary or shallow. It’s a deep well of lasting, life-changing, living water. His peace can calm the storm in your heart, steady your mind, and fill your life with hope. His peace restores the connection to God that sin broke. His peace reconciles us to God and invites us into a better way to live—a way marked by love, healing, and wholeness.
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for being my Prince of Peace. Rule in my heart, calming every storm. Rule in my mind, replacing anxiety and every vain thought with Your perfect peace. Rule in my life, making it a reflection of Heaven and Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Kindness Act: Instead of sending one big ‘Merry Christmas’ text to a group, send individual messages to at least five people. Take time to make them personal—share how much you appreciate or value them. Yes, this takes more energy, but your efforts can make the moment more meaningful and memorable.
12/25 IMMANUEL—GOD WITH US
Bible Verse: Matthew 1:23
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” (NKJV)
Reflection: Today the world is reminded of the greatest gift of all: God with us. Because Immanuel isn’t just a name—it’s the culmination of a promise. A promise that means God didn’t stay distant (See Jeremiah 31:33-34). He came close. And still comes close today. Immanuel changes everything. It means hope in hopeless situations, light in the darkest nights, and love that never gives up. No matter where we go, what we face, or how we feel, God is with us.
Prayer: God, thank You for coming close to me—for walking with me and teaching me to walk with You. Thank You for choosing to be with me, in every moment, in every season. Help me to remember, recognize, and honor Your presence today and always. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Take Action: Today, share this thought of gratitude with someone or online: God, thank You for choosing to be with me.
THANK YOU
Alright, that wraps up our final week of devotions.
And what a way to end it—with peace.
But get this…peace doesn’t have to end here.
It’s a gift you can carry with you—into every moment, every season, and every second.
So, go in peace and may God’s grace overflow in your life, in Jesus’ name amen.
