🖋️ MAKE AI WRITING SOUND LIKE YOU
These days, tons of creators use helpers—done-for-you content, quick templates, even AI tools.
And honestly? I’m here for it. 👏🏽
Because saving time is smart.
Getting a head start is genius.
But here’s something to remember…
Even with AI writing tools everywhere, your voice matters.
The words and experiences you add, cut, or rewrite is what makes your content feel real versus copy-and-paste.
That’s why I’m using this post to show you how to take any draft—AI-generated or not—and make it sharper, smoother, and unmistakenly you. 🖋️💡 Let’s get into it.

✂️ SECTION 1: CUT THE FLUFF
You might’ve seen this before… 👀
Someone goes from struggling to write a 140‑character caption to dropping 500‑word essays—overnight.
That’s not magic. 🚫🪄 That’s AI.
And while AI is a great helper, it’s long-winded, loves filler words, and stiff phrases you might never actually say.
That’s why a lot of AI‑assisted posts feel a little… extra‑extra.
At first glance, it’s like wow.
But look closer…
👀 It’s long.
🥱 It’s flat.
💤 Because it blends in with everybody else.
HOW TO TIGHTEN UP AI-GENERATED WRITING
1️⃣ Scan for filler words, vague takes, and generalizations.
When you find them, cut them—or swap them out for a quick personal story or a specific example your readers will get.
📌 Why?
◉ Personal details hit different. They disarm.
◉ They show it’s a real, lived experience, not just AI‑generated.
◉ They give your readers something to picture.
Something to relate to.
Something to actually feel…
Bottom line.
Specifics stick.
Stories connect.
❌ Vague takes = blah.
✅ Personal stories = oof, I’ve been there.
That’s how you make your AI writing sound like you—not a generic, copy‑and‑paste snoozefest. 💤
2️⃣ Delete unnecessary intros or repeated lines. Keep it clean.
But heads up—repeating yourself isn’t always bad. There’s a difference between redundancy and strategic repetition. Sometimes repeating a key line or thought helps your reader stay locked in, remember what you’re saying, or makes your intent crystal clear.
3️⃣ Read it out loud.
As you read out loud, if you stumble or get bored, cut it. If you start ad‑libbing or changing things as you read, that’s a sign you might want to rewrite that part.
Now that you know how to clean up the extra‑extra, it’s time to take it further.
⬇️ Up next is how to make your draft sound like something you’d actually say, not a robot.

🔊 SECTION 2: MAKE IT SOUND HUMAN
AI can help you start strong, but the tone is often generic and easy to spot.
Here’s how to make your AI‑assisted draft sound like you—not like something pulled from a textbook:
✅ Break up long sentences and mix in short ones.
Why? Shorter sentences are easier to read when you’re scrolling and simpler to understand.
✅ Use transitional words and phrases.
Why? They guide your reader, so they don’t get lost or confused.
✅ Go with more commonly used words.
Why? Swapping out big words (with lots of syllables) for everyday ones makes your writing easier for everyone to follow.
✅ Try listicles or bullets instead of chunky paragraphs.
What’s a listicle? It’s a list‑style article—like this section. So, instead of giant blocks of text, you break ideas into bite‑sized points.

MAKE LONG PARAGRAPHS SCROLL-FRIENDLY
This is how you flip lengthy paragraphs into scroll-friendly bullets or skimmable listicles.
For example, instead of this paragraph…
Here are ways to improve your writing: First, cut filler. Second, use transitions. Third, write like you speak.
Try a bulleted list…
Do this to improve your writing:
✅ Cut filler words.
✅ Use transitions.
✅ Write like you speak.
See how much easier that is to skim?
TRY THIS PROMPT
Below is a prompt you can feed to AI to help you flip paragraphs into listicles or bullets. ⬇️⬇️
Take the following paragraph and rewrite it as a clear, scannable listicle with bullet points. Make each point short, conversational, and easy to skim.
Up next, I’ll show you how to train your AI with better prompts, so it actually starts writing more like you.

🤖 SECTION 3: TRAIN YOUR AI WITH PROMPTS
AI isn’t human. It doesn’t know you.
If you want your writing to carry your style, humor, or perspective, you’ve got to teach AI how to capture what’s in your head and heart. That starts with better prompts and clearer feedback. ✨
TRY THIS EXERCISE
1️⃣ Tell AI something brief (or long) in your voice.
2️⃣ Ask AI: ‘What do you think I was trying to say?‘
3️⃣ If AI nails it—perfect. If not, explain what you meant.
4️⃣ Then ask AI: ‘What should I tell you next time so you can give me what I actually need?‘
📌 Why? Because this little AI training exercise can make you better at prompting AI and train AI to write closer to your voice. So, you’re not just using AI—you’re teaching it to work with you.
TRY THIS PROMPT
🖋️ Copy a chunk of your writing (a paragraph or two)
🤖 Paste it into your favorite AI tool with a prompt like:
‘Study this writing style and use it to write captions for my posts.’
📌 Why? It’s a quick way to teach AI your voice—so your posts feel like you and not fake.

➡️ NEXT STEP: KICK IT UP A NOTCH
Start by giving AI a sentence or paragraph in your own words.
Then tell it: ‘Write this same message two ways for me.’
Way #1: AI explains what you’re thinking in a clear, neutral way (like a summary).
Way #2: AI rewrites it in your unique style and tone — with your personality, slang, essence, and energy.
This little exercise helps you see the difference between ➀ AI understanding your idea versus ➁ AI expressing it like you do.
CRYSTAL CLEAR ADVICE 💎💎
Found a prompt that cooks? ✍🏽 Save it.
Drop it in your Notes app, a Google Doc—wherever you keep ideas.
This is how to create a stash of go‑to prompts that get 🔥 FIRE results every time.
When you do this...
You’re NOT just using AI—you’re building a system that works with your voice.
Now, let’s pull it ALL together. ⬇️⬇️

🔥 FINAL THOUGHTS
AI, templates, done‑for‑you content—they’re incredible tools. But tools don’t tell your story. You do.
The magic happens when you take time to:
✂️ Cut the fluff.
🔊 Add your voice.
🤖 Train your AI with prompts.
That’s how you use AI to make something that’s 1-of-1.
✨ Something people can feel.
✨ Something only you could’ve made.
So go ahead—use AI to brainstorm, build, and get unstuck.
Then level up with these tips to make it sound like you.
