Read this if you need a website for a blog, side biz, a special offer, or social media home but don’t know where to start. Because this blog post names three popular website designs that I believe every creator should use – including you. After reading this, you’ll know the difference between a landing page, one-page sites, and multi-page web designs so that you can choose a layout that will maximize your purpose and profits.

MAXIMIZING YOUR PURPOSE AND PROFITS

You need a website. Yes, you. You’ve thought about it. You’ve put it off. You’ve wondered if what you’re doing was website worthy. And now I’m telling you that it is. To be honest, you may need a few sites, which is why I created this blog – to help you figure out what type of layout is best for what!

LANDING PAGES

A Landing Page is like a take action page used to drive a single behavior, which is usually signing up for something. More specifically, it can be used as a sales page to launch a clearly defined product or information page to promote a clearly defined goal. Landing pages are great for boosting sales and helping to convert followers into buyers because fewer options make it easier for people to buy and commit.

Creator’s Tip: If you are looking to increase sign-ups or sales conversions for your webinar, online group, event, or special offer, try a landing page.

ONE-PAGE WEBSITE

One-page websites are practical and growing in popularity for many reasons. One – they mimic the hypnotic scroll of social media. Two – they are more mobile-friendly. And three – they typically have better speed capabilities. Think about it – do you like waiting for a site to load? Overall, this makes for a better user experience, and who doesn’t want that? Because one-page websites have less content, like landing pages, conversions are generally higher, making one-page designs especially suitable for startups and launches.

Creator’s Tip: SEO rankings are sometimes lower with one-page layouts because they have fewer updates and less content. To help offset this and boost your site’s SEO rating, put an extra effort into making your site SEO friendly.

MULTI-PAGE WEBSITE

Multi-page designs are great for creators, brands, and businesses with lots of content or services. They are usually more SEO-friendly because they have more content with regular updates. For this same reason (more content), multi-page designs do have fewer conversions than landing pages and one-page sites. However, serving your audience, in one place, with all of your binge-worthy content will hopefully make up for that!

Creator’s Tip: If you do have an exclusive offer to make, do this. Buy a domain name suitable for that offer. Then build a page on your multi-page site that mimics a landing page. After you do this, link your new domain to your pseudo landing page and BOOM- it’s like you have a landing page within your multi-page website.

Alright, that’s it – those are three website designs that you need to know about now. This day, decide what type of layout you need so you can get started. Ask yourself, why do I need a website? Naming this should make it easier to pick a web design that will maximize your purpose and profits.
