It took me back to a memory from my childhood…
A memory that almost felt made up.
I’m super young, in the backseat of a car.
Riding up a long gravel road with my grandparents.
Trees on both sides.
Butterflies everywhere.
It was like something out of a dream.
Easily—this is one of the most beautiful things I’ve EVER seen in life.
Last year, before my grandmother passed, I asked her about that moment.
She remembered. We were heading to visit a family friend…Who had orchard.
That’s why there were SO many butterflies.
They were attracted to the sugary fruit trees.
Some memories seem so far away they feel like dreams.
But I’m glad I asked…
And my grandmother could confirm it was a real moment—and not something I made up.
