Calling the Driven and the Dedicated
I’m about to share something that may sound weird at first…
I shut down every month to do nothing.
📌 Less talking.
📌 Less working.
📌 More resting.
It’s MY monthly practice that keeps me peaceful, protected, and NOT projecting (burnout and stress on anyone else). 😆
Confession Time
I’d love to pretend it was my idea. But it’s not.
My body did it voluntarily.
Of course, I tried to resist it.
I thought something was wrong with me.
❌ Am I sick?
❌ Do I need a doctor?
❌ Do I need to pray?
✔️ But the answer was no.
✔️ Listen to your body.
✔️ Stop resisting reset.
Listen to Your Body
Coming to terms with it was not easy.
Even now—my mind still tries to fight and work when my body says rest.
So here’s what I do to help myself.
How I Make Time to Rest Monthly
During my highly productive weeks, I do more work — and that helps ease my mind away from work and into rest. ✨
Despite having to be…
📣 a superhero to my whole family
📣 a soft place to land for my husband
📣 a cheer champ for my private group
📣 a consistent learner and educator in my niche…
Okay. That’s enough.
Thinking about it makes me want to work, and it’s my rest week. 😆
Find Your Highly Productive Work Periods
Track your time to identify your most productive, high-energy work periods (monthly, daily, or both). Then do more work during those times — so you can enjoy guilt-free rest during your not-so-productive moments.
