Strategy to attract your audience and find clients on social media

Sharing your interests and what you believe on social media helps:

📌 Attract your audience.

📌 Encourage emotional level connections.

📌 Disarm skepticism and doubt (It’s incredible how honesty does that).

📌 Encourage onlookers to buy into what you’re doing and subconsciously make an ‘internal commitment’ to you.

All this is super powerful because it sets them up to become some of your most persuasive advocates, champions, and evangelists!

😕❓You’re thinking, sounds good, but how do I do it?

Welp, one way to do it is this.📣 👏🏽

Share your interests AND connect with your audience by creating content around Holidays and Awareness Days (sometimes called Social Media Days).

Need an example? Keep scrolling.

(Strategy to build your content calendar below)

Create your social media content calendar like this

Upcoming days to know for November 2021.

  • November 1st (Mon) – Authors Day
  • November 7th (Sun) – Daylight Savings
  • November 8th (Mon) – STEM Day
  • November 11th (Thurs) – Veterans Day
  • November 13th (Sat) – World Kindness Day
  • November 16th (Tues) – Entrepreneurs Day
  • November 27th (Sat) – Small Business Saturday
  • November 30th (Tues) – Computer Security Day

Here’s how to take action on it

  1. Pick one or two days (per month) that you connect with — then brainstorm some creative ways to share it with your audience. (If you can handle more days, go for it)
  2. Create or outsource the content (graphics, videos, copy, and captions). Then pick a date to share it.
  3. Schedule and post what you create through social media (a social post, story, video). You can even repurpose this content for direct marketing (like an email or text message).
  4. Then repeat this next month! Always plan ahead. Try not to wait until the month of to start. Begin planning at least one to three months in advance. And planning can be as simple as you choosing your awareness days. (Stress really disrupts the creative flow)

Insider Tip:

⚠️ If you use Facebook’s Business Suite, their calendar conveniently includes holidays and awareness days. Yay for the no-cost option. Right?

⚠️ Also, you can find lists of awareness days all over the internet. Some sites are sketchy. So please cross-reference your awareness days with other calendars to ensure you’re not acknowledging something wrong.

(Check Hubspot or Planoly’s blog for more complete calendars and templates.)

⚠️ Last thing! Using awareness days on social media is a great way to attract people who share your same cares. Please use this as a strategy to connect with people and not to exploit.
