Amen! Amen! This is something I have witnessed within the different churches I have attended through the years both as a child and now as an adult. The pastor we currently sit under preaches a great deal from a legalistic, controlling, performance pleasing point of view, where most Sunday’s and Wednesday’s some of us, my mom and I in particular, come away feeling abused and depressed.
