Having it ‘all’ together is a lie

Here’s an unpopular opinion:

Be wrong—risk looking silly AND, for sure, let go of the allure to ‘having it all together.’

Because pretending to have it all together is stopping you from getting it all together.

I’m taking some online courses. When I started, I was feeling pretty low next to my peers. (Low meaning inadequate)

But I told myself that I would NOT shrink for fear of looking stupid.

I’m going to participate.

Ask questions.

Share my thoughts and FULLY posture myself to learn.

The BLESSING of not having it all together

Here’s what happened when I stopped pretending I had it all together.

The response was great.

My peers willingly helped me.

Sometimes I lead my discussions with — I struggled with this assignment, and I’ll get a ping saying try this.

Or I’ll say, I have no background in education, and my peers are like, I like reading your thoughts.

😆 It’s incredible — I let my guard down, and people that are doing the things I dream about…are telling me how to do it.

Did you catch that? 🤭

Let go.

Risk looking silly.

Forsake having it all together — so you can get what you need for right now AND the future you. 💜 (haha at my word choice)
