While watching a very fresh teaching on soul ties, I was reminded of a recent dream I had about someone from my past. The dream wasn’t a warning that this person was about to come waltzing back into my life, but was given to show me I’d adopted some unhealthy mentalities and that if left unkempt they’d potentially damage relationships God intentioned for my future.

I was dealing with a knot.

According to Dr. Matthew Stevenson III, a soul tie is a spiritual condition that is enforced and guarded by demons, affecting people that “open up their heart, mind, soul, or their will to another entity.”

Soul ties can exist between people, positions, practices, paradigms, etc..

In this teaching, Dr. Stevenson points out two major misconceptions with souls ties, which are they only exist through experiences with other people and are sexual in nature. He compares the dysfunction of negative souls ties to the knots in a pretzel, suggesting that many people are living life “knotted up.”

Unhealthy soul ties can prevent you from having healthy relationships, develop them, or for the single, even recognizing a potential mate. Soul ties restrict emotional healing and lead you to use past experiences as a measuring rod for new ones.

After watching this video, you will be able to define what a soul tie is, determine how they happen, and what you can do about it!
