Can the Universe Answer Your Prayers?

The universe is amazing. It’s a work of art, full of intricacies and nuances one could never fully understand or thoroughly explore. But the universe is a creation, meaning it has a creator and while I appreciate the universe, I pray to its Creator.

The Defining Thread of Truth

Still more and more, modern culture seems to be merging this idea that the universe and God are synonymous. It’s not hard to understand how this happens either, because many people that pray to the universe also speak freely about God. While Dr. Faith Wokoma admits this, in the #FaceScope below, she makes very clear that the defining thread of truth is Jesus. Everything but Jesus is permissible and that makes the difference.

Going further, God as the universe couldn’t be further from the truth and accessing the spiritual realms sans Jesus is dangerous. Find out why in “God is not the Universe” by Dr. Faith Wokoma.

Talking points:

  • What is a deception? Deception is a lot of truth mixed with a little bit of a lie.
  • Is God the universe? No. God is above [superior and sovereign to] all things, including the universe (Colossians 1:16).
  • Three Dimensions of Heavenly Places:
    • Third Heaven: God, the angels of the Lord, and all things glorious reside here.
    • Second Heaven: Demonic hosts and the fallen angels (unsubmitted to God) dwell here.
    • First Heaven: This includes the earthly realm, the universe: sky, stars/constellations.
  • Can the universe answer your prayers? Yes.
  • If the universe answers my prayers is this God? No.
  • How does the universe answer my requests/prayers? Familiar spirits.
  • How can you distinguish between an answered prayer from God and an answered prayer from demons? When Heaven answers your prayers, you’ll draw nearer to God and yield good fruit. When demons answer your prayers, they may bear the appearance of good fruit or productivity. However, the “good” won’t last, and the responses will lead you away from the Holy Spirit and into a demonic cycle.
  • Is the Law of Attraction biblical? The Law of Attraction has biblical truths in it. However, it has been altered. The Bible teaches people to pray to God, through Jesus Christ (John 14:13-14). The Law of Attraction teaches people to think and draw things to themselves via the universe.

How to guard yourself against deception

  • Ask questions – and don’t be afraid to test the source of your information. It’s okay to ask people what God they are talking about and how they feel about Jesus?
