Transitions kill and create opportunity. Transitions promote and demote. Transitions lead some away into the excitement of the unknown while leaving others behind in the dust. Think about it. That’s a simple enough and accurate observation, right? 🤷🏽‍♀️ Unfortunately, people often focus too much on what’s disrupted by transition more than what a given transition creates. 😖😖😖

Here’s a fact for you. Recently, I read that a lot of Americans are fearful about the future of automation. 🤔. The truth that technology is killing and disrupting jobs is something to prepare for — but so are the jobs this transition will create. (For six solid skills that can’t be disrupted by tech, see “The Future of Jobs” on thesmokingprophet.com)

My point is this. Life is full of cycles — beginnings, endings, and in-betweens. And though the cycles, the transitions, and the in-betweens are sometimes scary, it’s better to acknowledge the fear and keep going versus being too scared to adapt.

Confronting your fear will lead you to find the more authentic you. Remember, the person God created you to be is someone who lives beyond their fears. Think about whatever fear you have? Fear of the future. Fear of what people think of you and the life you’re making for yourself. Whatever your fear is, feel it and move past it.

My final thought for you — don’t be afraid of change/to change, be afraid to stay the same. Ya, feel me?
