Tamara McNair-Hicks is well acquainted with the frequently overlooked supernatural realm of dreams. Lately, as a biblical dream interpreter, she’s noticed a striking trend in the types of dreams being sent to her ministry for interpretation.
WARNING SHOTS ARE BEING FIRED
As King Nebuchadnezzar received a warning in the form of a dream, many of us are being visited in this way too (Daniel 4). For whatever reason, we aren’t listening to or either can’t adequately discern God’s voice throughout the day, leaving Him to beckon us at night…
For God speaks again and again,
though people do not recognize it.
He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night,
when deep sleep falls on people
as they lie in their beds.
He whispers in their ears
and terrifies them with warnings.
He makes them turn from doing wrong;
he keeps them from pride.
He protects them from the grave,
from crossing over the river of death.
In this 20 minute teaching, Prophetess McNair-Hicks examines the life of one of ancient Israel’s judges, the mighty Samson. Before his birth, Samson was set apart as a Nazarite, this calling required a particular lifestyle (Numbers 6:1-21, Judges 13).
Samson didn’t always live up to the ways of God, but more troubling is how he handled the red flags. After multiple offenses in dabbling with forbidden fruits and ignoring the warning shots intended to get him back on the right track, this conqueror was conquered.

RESPOND TO WARNINGS WITH OBEDIENCE
If you, like Samson, have gotten “caught up”, remember the Lord can redeem you. Just turn from whatever God is saying no to and believe the admonition is for your good.
God is a perfect parent. He is better than any of us could ever be on our best day or ever experience. If the guardians in your life haven’t been prime examples of good parenting, you still recognize how you should be treated. If you feel you aren’t a good parent, you still know what you aspire to be.
My point is this, if we who are naturally inclined to evil, want to do great things for our families, how much more do you think God wants to do for us? In all this, remember God doesn’t want you to suffer, hurt, or experience any unnecessary trouble.
