I recorded the following dream during the early morning hours, precisely 3:33am, of Saturday, January 28th, 2017.
My dream began in the parking lot of what I thought was a mall. I remember the weather being really nice, I mean it was super bright, sunny and warm out. I was with a fairly large group of people that I’d been familiar with since high school.
As my companions and I exited our vehicles to go inside, I noticed my best friend was on the phone. As she conversated with this undisclosed party, she stood to face me and I to her. Her passenger side car door was open because her daughter was still inside, so I also kept careful watch of the young toddler too. I remained there until the conversation ended, which wasn’t long, and then we headed towards the building like everyone else.
It wasn’t until then that I realized this massive building we were going to wasn’t a mall. As we approached the building my clarity increased and I saw it was an apartment complex, but not a contemporary one. This building looked more like a hotel.
We walked inside the main foyer and towards an office that was obviously for employees only. There behind the glass window sat a woman at her desk smiling jovially. My best friend and I went inside this room too but weren’t in there long before I noticed something that made me feel extremely uneasy.
The main office had a large glass window, through it I could see a man exiting the passenger side of a car and walking towards the building, my only reaction was to get down. I positioned myself on my stomach behind the woman seated at the desk. Neither the woman nor my friend reacted to what I’d done. It was as if my proactiveness was totally unnoticed by them.
Suddenly, the man entered the building and the atmosphere shifted from light to dark. He starting shooting into the office. I heard glass shattering, bullets flying, and felt the pressure of another person on me.
As spontaneously as the noise began it ended.
I was now observing myself lying on the floor. The man walked into the small office we were in, circled around the desk, and grabbed the woman violently. With her ankles gripped he drug her into a small room annexed to the office, this room was possibly a closet or a bathroom. Without saying a word, he proceeded to walk out of the building and backs towards the vehicle he’d initially gotten out of.
I immediately jumped up to secure the main entry way. Peering through the glass I saw that there was another person with him and they were clearly heading back inside to finish the job. I went back into the office and locked that door as well, then called 911…
My first thought upon awakening was, “Father, allow me to see the setups.”
God sets us up for good things all the time and more often than we probably even notice. He does this to develop new skills within us, to demonstrate hidden talents, and to promote us on a path of perpetual goodness. As God sets us up for all these things and more, satan sets us up for destruction…(John 10:10)
Jesus said to Peter:
Simon, Simon Satan has asked to sift you as wheat…
…or in other words…
…Simon, Simon Satan is trying to set you up (Luke 22:31).
There is no need for us to be afraid, but we do need to be mindful of setups and watchful in our encounters. God always causes us to have victory, so we never fight from a place of defeat, but we are required to fight. With that being said, I encourage you to pray this prayer and be observant.
PRAYER
Lord, expose the setups. May my eyes open to recognize every setup. Increase my sensitivity to Your Holy Spirit, so that I may distinguish the truth from the setups. Father, give me/increase the gift of the discerning of spirits, so that I may also know what is from You, what is demonically influenced, and what is inspired by the human soul. Increase my wisdom, with Your wisdom from above, so that I can accurately judge these matters and more. Now, Father, I also ask that you would dismantle every setup sent out against me, my family, my personal belongings, my provision, my church affiliations, and those connected to me. I ask that You would confuse every plan and annihilate every course of action that has been sent to wage war with Yours. With the authority you’ve given me, I say that every demonic assignment and set up sent my way is being nullified now in the Name of Jesus.
